Jewelry designer and artist, Maki Lanffranchi, was born in Lima, Peru into a world of art, creativity and ingenuity. Her designs are an exquisite representation of the sensitive creativity that is generously bestowed upon many Peruvian artists. The inspiration of her mother, who dedicated decades to the jewelry business, and of her father, who was a creative writer and a skilled artisan leather worker, are apparent in her work today. As a young girl growing up observing her mother's hard work and dedication in the jewelry business, Maki developed an early fascination with the variety of colors, shapes and textures of gemstones, gold, silver and other natural materials. This constant exposure to creativity, the arts and dedicated work ethic provides the rich foundation for her unique artistic, one-of-a-kind designs all of which she produces with an innate sensitivity to her clients' tastes.Maki's talents as both designer and artisan provide her clients the rare opportunity to own handmade custom jewelry designed and created with the utmost attention to quality and detail. Her versatility as a designer produces a range of designs from the very practical and affordable to some of the most sophisticated designs in high demand by the most discerning international clients.
